I’m so excited to say hello to February, and I never thought I’d say this but I cant wait for it to get warmer! I usually cherish the cold months and they always seem to go by so quickly; however this year it seems to have been unbearably cold and just a little too grey even for me. If it had rained more I’d probably be loving it, but there hasn’t even been much of that!
So yes, I’m getting excited for Spring to say the least. There’s a few awesome things happening in February too, between events, nights out, Valentines and other fun things; I’m betting it’ll be a good one!
January was a great start to 2017 for me, and I thought I’d round it off with all my favourite things. Whether it’s been beauty products, particular events or books; I’m sharing all my loves from this cold month.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner – Yes the hype is real, and for good reason! I’m the sort of person who wears a cats eye flick every single day (or days I wear makeup anyway…) and I need something great to help me pull it off. This baby applies beautifully, is a deep pigment black, and HELL YES it lasts!
EOS lip balm – My lips have been soooo dry this month! Lip balm has been an essential and the EOS* ones are so cute! If you’re drying up in this cold whether like me, give EOS lip balm a try.
The Lincoln Rhyme Series – I’ve always loved Jeffery Deaver’s Lincoln Rhyme books, and I’m happy to say I’ve picked up where I left off! There are SO many books in this series and I’m a huge fan (love crime/CSI/detective novels? Try this series!)
Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation – I’ve been raving about this for ages now, and it’s STILL my fave ever. I can’t believe I ever used anything else now. It’s just amazing for my skin, has the perfect shade match, lasts all day and gives a flawless base. It’s now my go-to!
Girls – I’ve only just got my head out of the clouds and finally sat down to watch the series everyone has banged on about for years. Girls is awesome, shocking, funny, and downright awesome. I’ve binged watched four seasons already and I am loving it. All the girls are kind of pricks in it sure, but I love them anyway (especially Shosh).
Catching up with old friends – It’s not often I get to do it, but it feels SO good when we do! Whether it’s grabbing a coffee, going to see a movie, or having a wild night drinking; I feel so much better for having reconnected with those babes I love; and January has seen multiple happy days/nights!
Tsum tsums – Yes I’m still loving them! I don’t buy them very often now, but only because I’m cutting all unnecessary spending until we move home. However, I did treat myself to Nick Wilde from Zootopia, as he’s become a fave of mine. I’ll have to get Judy soon!
Sherlock Holmes – I’ve read all of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock, but rereading is so much fun! I’ll never tire of these classics.
Pixi Ultimate Beauty Kit (3rd Edition) – I got this baby just before Christmas and holy hell I LOVE it. PAcked with eyeshadows, blush, highlights and contour shades; this baby does it ALL. I believe it’s still available on the Pixi website, for only £14 too!!
Paper Girls – You probably seen me banging on about this comic from Brian K. Vaughan; and I definitely recommend you check it out. Awesome girls, awesome story and a nostalgic eighties theme. Winner.
My ukulele! – Yes this bad boy has been testing my fingers and thumbs, but I’m loving learning! I’m such an awkward newb, but I can play Happy Birthday now, haha. It’s so much fun, gets me away from a screen, and I feel good learning something new.
Gwen Stefani Urban Decay Blush Palette – An oldie, but a damn GOODIE. I’ve got so many blushers, enough to probably last a lifetime. And I can’t help but be tempted into trying new products all the time. However, this is the blush palette I always reach for time and time again, and provides me with a glowing range of looks each time. January seen me rekindle my obsession with this blush palette. I can’t tell you how amazing the quality is, and I just love it so much! All time fave, for sure.
I can’t wait to dig my heels into February!
What about you guys, what have been your favourite things?
