Life This Week

This week has been a whirlwind of emotions for me, and it’s so good to have a quiet Sunday to chill out and rejuvenate myself a little. I thought today I’d catch you all up on what I’ve been up to, and what lies ahead this week!

I enjoyed a great creative burst at the start of the week, painting even more, and even feeling inspired to do an Instalive video as I worked on a random piece. It was SO much fun and I found it really great to chat along with people as I worked, explaining what I was doing, or why, and answering questions. Thank you so much if you joined in! I’ll definitely be doing more. Perhaps a weekly thing?

I also sold two paintings this week and I literally jumped for joy when I realised! It’s SO so amazing when people want to purchase something you’ve worked hard on. Both of these purchases were enough so that I could stock up on more paint and canvases, so thank you to Hayley and Sally for supporting!

Our home had a few little improvements this week too, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Our pink sofa finally arrived, YAY! It’s so so pretty, super comfortable, and is now my pride and joy. You can catch a snippet of it on my Instagram here. Gary and I also redid the office, and move everything around so that I could finally make a proper work space for myself. My desk looks so much cuter now, and is my little creative hub (see here!).

(Pssst! Still some of these notebooks left on sale! Click here to grab one!)

The election then happened, and left me reeling in more ways than one. I won’t go into this much as I have been so vocal on my Twitter, and I’m sure most of you will have seen. But it really did snatch me of my creative mood, and for the last few days I’ve had a bit of a heavy heart.

I’ve used this time to catch up with Netlix though, and finally got around to watching Dirk Gently – AMAZING – and The Keepers – absolutely gripping. Over the next few days I also plan to indulge in Orange Is The New Black since it’s back on!

I even started a new book this weekend; ‘The Keeper of Lost Things’ by Ruth Hogan, and it seems really good so far!

Anyway, I hope you guys have had a great week. I leave you with my recommendations now for other bloggers you should go check out! – Helen, Kayleigh, and Sharon. All absolute babes, and deserving your love! šŸ™‚
