A couple of weeks ago, I was kindly sent a few items from Beauty Bridge that they thought I might like; and I was pleased to see some familiar brands that I already know and love in there! Beauty Bridge are an online retailer who specialise in a range of makeup, skincare, bath and body, gift ranges, fragrances and mens products. When I had a little browse around their site, I was pleased to see they have a huge selection of featured brands that I know you guys will love (such as Smashbox, Bare Minerals, the Balm) as well as new ones being introduced all the time! you can shop by brand, your top concerns (Dark circles? Chapped lips? Wrinkles? They’ll direct you to the products that help!) or by your normal ‘Concealer’, ‘Foundation’, etc categories. You can also get a whopping 20% off your order when you sign up with them, so be sure to do that if you have your eye on anything!
So what did I receive?
The first thing that grabbed my eye was definitely the Pixi By Petra Hello Glow! Kit* which is priced at £15.74 (This is cheaper than a lot of other online retailers, I checked!!) and includes the Beauty Blush Duo in Peach Honey, LipLift Max in Honey Sheen. Glow Booster in Peach Gold.
This seemed like the perfect kit to take my everyday makeup look into Spring, as it focuses on adding a glowy touch of natural colour which is perfect for my pale skin. The blush duo is absolutely beautiful. It has a very subtle touch of shimmer (which you know I can’t resist) and the pigmentation is incredible. It feels like you get a ban for your buck, as just one quick sweep with my brush and this adds a beautiful natural blush to the apples of my cheeks. The two shades are perfect together; one is a pastel peach shade and one is the prettiest golden hue I ever did see. I’ve been combining these two, but you could use one as a highlighter and one as your blush if you wished! Pixi products always feel extra special, made with love and truly great quality for the price, and this blush duo doesn’t disappoint.
If there’s one thing I wish I could change about my face, it would be bigger lips. I’m not wanting to look like a trout or anything; but I really do have the thinnest lips going. If I smile for a photo it’s just all teeth and looking like my lips are scared to come out; which is why you’ll often find me sporting a moodier lookin’ selfie! However, this means I’m always in the market for a good lip plumping product; so I was happy to see the LipLift Max in the Pixi beauty kit. The shade is incredibly pretty; a light peachy/golden shade with the ultimate shine factor. I feel like this would compliment almost any skin tone and it’s a non sticky formula which means it’s comfortable to wear all day long. It has a minty scent and taste as is typical for many lip plumpers, and it did leave my lips feeling really nourished. As for the lip plumping effect; I definitely can’t say it left me feeling like my lips were bigger, but it DID make me feel more confident in my smile. I felt like the gloss and the tingly effect gave the illusion of a more plump lip (especially my bottom lip, to be specific), and I was quite happy with this still. I’m not expecting miracles, but it did help me overcome something I’m really self conscious about, and I loved the product anyway!
And finally, my FAVOURITE of the whole kit; the Glow Booster. This little baby is SO DAMN GOOD. It has a creamy texture which is easy to apply to the skin leaving you with a natural, dewy glow. I experimenting with this, applying it to my whole face underneath my foundation, and adding to my cheekbones as a highlighter after foundation. Basically? I love it either way! It’s so truly beautiful and it left my skin looking stunning, if you’ll allow me to brag for a moment. It helped blur my imperfections (nose area) and also helped me looked much more ready for the world even if worn alone, without makeup. I truly adore this product, and it was definitely my favourite from the kit. I can’t recommend it enough!
Next up, the wonderful beauty that is the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid Eye Shadow*. I’ve had my eye on these liquid eyeshadows for the longest time now, and it made me so happy to finally get my hands on one! My shade is ‘Sea Siren’ which is a holographic, shining purple, with a light blue shine to it. It’s the most pigmented and beautiful liquid eyeshadow I now own, and is easy to apply with the applicator wand. I found it’s staying power to be really impressive, as it lasted me all day and night without creasing or fading at all. If you need something with a WOW factor for your look, definitely head over to Beauty Bridge to nab one of these shades! Psst, it’s £17.17 – which again, is cheaper than most other retailers I checked out (by about £5!).
Next up was the sample of the Beauty Bridge Anti-Aging Illuminating Eye Cream*. The full size product is priced at £22.90 and is created to help rejuvenate around the eye area, tackling fine lines and dark circles. I seem to be obsessed with my eyes at the moment, as I’ve noticed some smile lines starting to appear just below my eyes (eek!). I loved this formula as it was really gentle on my skin, and left it smooth and soft to touch. It’s of a gel-like consistancy and doesn’t feel too heavy, so I’ve been applying this in the morning before my primer and makeup. I tend to use a heavier, oil based cream for my eyes at night; but this is PERFECT for day to day wear. I haven’t been using it long enough to know truly how well it’ll tackle my lines, but it does help lighten my dark circles for sure! I’d happily recommend this if you’re after a day to day product to help fight the earliest signs of ageing.
And finally I tried the Dermablend Glow Creator Multi-Use Liquid Highlighter* which is priced at £23.61. Immediately I was impressed with the price, as I’ve found most of my liquid highlighters to be upwards of £25, and you get a lot of product in this bottle too! The formula itself is PHENOMENAL; it’s pretty sheen packs a powerful glow that I found myself reaching for daily. If you love a highlighter that truly could land planes, this ones for you! It lasted all day, and this particular shade (‘Pearl’) is a warm, radiant pigment that I think would flatter many different skin tones.
I’m so truly impressed by not only the range of Beauty Bridge products, but the prices too! It’s definitely somewhere I’ll be bookmarking to visit again, and checking out the amazing deals in future. I’m keen to try the Lipstick Queen range (check out the packaging!!) so that’ll probably be my next purchase!
Have you guys shopped with Beauty Bridge before? 🙂
