Photo Diaries: Moving Home

4th May 2017

We’ve been in our new home almost one week now, one whole week! It’s been absolutely exhausting to tell ya’ the truth, but I’ve loved every second of it. I instantly feel at home, but I also feel like it hasn’t quite sunk in yet too? I suppose that’s normal so early on, especially as we’ve just been concentrating on making it ‘homey’ and nice so far.

We’ve bought shelves, cabinets, and other storage bits. Cute decor, a washer/dryer and all the real basics you’d expect. The big things we still need are a new sofa and armchair, and a dining table. For now we’ve been using our sofa bed to lounge in front of the tv with, and it’s fine. But I can’t wait for our pretty new sofa to be sorted (in a week or two!), and then hopefully to get a dining table not long after. I’ve seen the one I want from Ikea, I just need pennies!

The view outside the window is incredible, and it’s so strange to me as I’m so used to being right in the city. Now I look outside and see fields and rivers for miles, and at night the foxes and deer come right up to the windows. It’s just so beautiful. I’ve also really noticed how quiet it is! No traffic noises at all make a huge difference, even though I hardly noticed it in Liverpool really.

The kitties have been settling in really well, and they’re even closer now than they first were. It’s only been around 3 weeks since we got Pixi, and already her and Luna are bestest buds. Speaking of which, I didn’t formally introduce Pixi on this blog, so here; say hi!

You will probably find a lot more of her on my Instagram. I’m using Insta SO much more these days, whether it’s vlogging my day, or sharing cute photos, or behind the scenes of my Etsy shop.

I’ve started to get back into the swing of work, finally. The first few days I was honestly SO, so tired and couldn’t do anything after spending the whole day unpacking and putting together furniture. Then everything was a huge to-do list of things I had to catch up on, which was kinda overwhelming. Thankfully, I seem to have gotten a handle on things now! And that means I can start to make my workspace pretty, and concentrate on important things, like decor!

I was so inspired by Zoe London recently. If you didn’t know, she’s one of my fave creators EVER, and such an inspiration. Anyway, she created this look, and it made me want to try out glitter and stars in my own hair, which I LOVED. It reminded me I need to start creating hair and makeup looks again, as soon as possible. They’re so much fun!

Anyway, all is well here. We’re settling in great, and I’m so excited for this new chapter!
Hope you guys will keep joining me along for the journey 🙂
