Recently I’ve found myself feeling a little burnt out, and so I needed to prioritise looking after myself. I’ve been treating myself in a number of ways, so I thought I’d share some of them with you all today!
1. Indulging in my favourite beauty buys
I love treating myself to my favourite make up, perfume and skincare! Especially perfume, I can never have too many! My all time favourite’s would be; D&G Light Blue, Ghost original, DKNY, Mugler Alien or Anna Sui Flight of Fancy.
It sounds a bit lame probably, but indulging in time just to read my current book is wonderful. I don’t often prioritise doing things like this because I never feel I have the time; but I’m making sure to change that! Lately I’ve taken to reading every evening for at least an hour, which also helps to relax me. I’ve also enjoyed playing more games too.
3. Getting beauty treatments
It feels so nice to make time to get my nails done, get a massage, make sure I get regular eyelash appointments, etc. One of the most exciting things I have coming up is an appointment to finally get my eyebrows done! I’ve wanted microblading done for a long time, so I’m thrilled to confirm I have the date set!
4. Asking for help
I find it so hard asking for help, especially with such a busy work schedule, and a small child. But lately I’ve made sure to ask for help. Whether this be extra childcare assistance, help with looking after my social media (promoting work stuff!), or just generally allowing others to do things for me (always hard!). It’s already making such a difference though!
5. Planning a trip
We haven’t been on a trip in years, and never with our little boy – so I want to change this as soon as possible! Even if it’s still in the UK, I’d love to book us a little family trip away for a few days somewhere fun for us all. Though I would also love a week or two away in Mexico… a girl can dream! But anyway, I’m making plans and hopefully we will be packing our bags soon!
