For the past few weeks, I’ve had the extreme good fortune of using the ghd creative curl wand* from their curve range, thanks to being kindly sent it in the post.
Everyone knows I’m a fan of curls, they seem to suit me SO much better than having my hair straight. Plus my hair looks and feels much healthier when I quickly add some curls to it, rather than straighten the life out of it.
So when I was sent out the Creative Curl Wand to try, I was happy because I knew my hair would love a little treat from ghd. What I didn’t expect however, was just how much better it would be for my hair.
As well as the wand, I was also kindly sent ghd’s Heat Protect Spray; which smells sooo good by the way. It works fantastically, keeping my hair soft, shiny and protected while I work away to add texture and bounce to my locks.
The absolute best thing about the creative curl wand is the tapered barrel; which gives really soft, natural curls that look so good, I can’t help but admire them afterwards! No more tight, ringlet curls which don’t look natural on me at all. Thanks to the wand, I can now create easy, ‘custom curls’ that suit me best. Whether I’m going for an quick daytime look, or a dressed up and perfected night look that needs to last.
The creative curl wand also has some handy features I found useful too. There’s a protective cool tip at the end of the barrel, meaning I have a place to hold the end of my hair when styling, so no more burning myself! It has a really handy safety stand built in to the side of the barrel, meaning you can pop it down on any surface, and it’ll be held up safely so not to burn whatever it sits on. It has an automatic shut off system after 30 minutes of no use – yay for us forgetful folk! And this isn’t something that should really matter I suppose, but I thought I’d mention it has this really cool on/off noise it makes. And things like that just amuse/impress me, haha.
The curls are created within seconds meaning my hair is less damaged from heat, the protect spray is doing a damn fine job, and my hair feels absolutely beautiful – if I’m being honest. I’ve been using these on a daily basis for the past three weeks and now feel like this is my go-to tool of choice. It;s amazing!
I’m so thankful that my hair now only takes moments to style, and that leaves me more time to experiment with my makeup! 🙂
This week I’ve been trying out my new palette; the Morphe Brushes 35 Multi-Colour Matte Palette – which I used to create this makeup look in my photos. Just in case anyone is interested!
Let me know what you think, and have a great day guys! 🙂
