Christmas Gift Guide & Giveaway

26th November 2016

It feels like forever since I’ve taken stock of my recent purchases and gifts, rifling through them to find the best of the bunch to share with you guys. I’ve especially been looking forward to this post, as I think many of the items featured would be perfect for Christmas gifts!

I’ll start with the beauty products as I know a lot of you will be buying those sort of gifts for friends, family, and maybe even yourself! My collection of beautiful metallic makeup brushes is now complete, thanks to Blank Canvas and So Eco Brushes. The So Eco Stippling Brush* is beautiful, super soft and applies foundation flawlessly for a natural finish. So Eco never fail to disappoint me and this brush is a fantastic addition to their collection. They are an eco friendly, cruelty free company too!

Blank Canvas sent me three AMAZING makeup brushes*, again keeping in with my metallic theme that I’m obsessed with (seriously one day I must share my brush collection on here). I was kindly sent brushes F43 (A tightly packed one I use for foundation), F39 (a large powder brush) and F41 (a small brush for multiple uses, I use as a blusher brush).

The powder brush and foundation brush have now become an everyday part of my makeup routine as theyare absolutely perfect for my face and how I like to apply my makeup. I love a tightly packed foundation brush, as I really do prefer a high coverage look; and this delivers flawlessly. The powder brush is perfect for an all over finish and is beautifully soft to touch. The final brush (the F41) is fantastic quality again, and I’ve been mixing up how I use this to apply makeup. It really is a versatile brush, and so I’ve mostly used it for popping some blush on the apples of my cheeks, but this would also be perfect for highlighting and contouring!

Grabbing these brushes this Christmas for any beauty lover would go down a treat!

Next up we have the heavenly Prosecco Gift Box Set* from The Present Finder, which is just fantastic! This puts an extra special spin on buying a typical bath set for your Mum, as she’ll feel extra luxurious delving into this treat box. The set includes bath salts, lip balm (SO YUMMY), soap and bath scrunchie. The scent is amazing and the lip balm now comes with me everywhere! This is the perfect set to give to any Prosecco fan (team with a bottle and you’re onto a winner!).

And the final beauty product in my mailbox this month that I think should be the top of everyone’s list, is the Burt’s Bees Endless Shine Trio*. This perfect pack is only £9.99 and makes a great stocking filler! Each shade provides sheer colour with extra shine, leaving lips feeling loved and nourished, and looking glam! Made with Apricot wax and sunflower seed oil, this set is truly one to pamper your lips with.

Moving on from beauty, I also received an extra special sample of gifts perfect for the lads; whether young or old! I was surprisingly sent two amazing drone toys* from MoonPig (Right?? Who knew!) and they are absolutely perfect for my brothers and newphews. My nephews are young, and my brothers are older than me, but I just know it’ll still go down a storm! They’re big kids, and this unsual gift will be sure to bring a smile. I found myself browsing the Moonpig gift section and I was so pleased with the range of things they have, as before now I thought they only did cards and flowers! But nope, you can get alcohol, beauty products, clothing, stationery and so much more, sent straight to your door.

And finally, I wanted to share with you guys one of my favourite things I received in the mail this month – my custom made planner* from Personal Planner! As you can see, it says Joan on it, so it’s not for me. I have custom designed this right down to every detail, to make it perfect for my Mum.

Mum is a stationery lover just like me (in fact she may have got me obsessed as a child); and yet she doesn’t have an all in one planner for everything, which I think is a travesty! So when Personal Planner offered to let me custom make my own using their handy online service, I knew I’d have to make one for Joan.

I got to decide the design on the front cover, back cover, add any text I wanted, decide on the full layout inside the book, add custom features and sections, and so much more! Seriously, it’s like they made the easiest and most satisfying way to make your perfect planner, and make it work for YOU. They even include a detachable ruler and sticker sheets too!

And the best part? I’m giving one of these away for you guys! YAY 🙂 This giveaway will be open internationally, for anyone to enter! The Rafflecopter entry is below, and all you have to do is be following me & Personal Planner on Twitter, but you can earn extra entries by doing the other things too!

This giveaway will finish on Monday 5th December – so that you can order yours and hopefully just make it on time for Christmas too!
