Superdrug Bromborough Blog Event

12th December 2016

Last week I had the immense pleasure of being invited to a blog event by my favourite high street store; Superdrug. I cant pass by their stores without going in (Gary knows to expect it now) and I pretty much live on the Superdrug website scrolling for new products. So being invited by local Superdrug Bromborough store to come experience their nail and brow bar, and see what they had on offer, was amazing!

(And yes I did say nail and brow bar!!)

Superdrug nail bar

I’d never been to a Superdrug with a nail and brow bar before, and I thought it was absolutely brilliant! A handy place to get a stunning new look for a bargain price and some top tips from a trained professional while you’re there. The lovely Ashleigh did some gel nails for me, talked me through the process and all the options they had on offer as part of the service. I went for some copper/glitter nails as I thought they were super pretty and felt a little festive too. But it wasn’t an easy choice, they had SO MANY gorgeous gels. Mattes, glitters, a a whole spectrum of shades and designs.

Ashleigh gave my nails a great tidy up and nourished them before applying the gel, and credit to this girl for making my nails look pretty for once! I always feel I don’t have very feminine hands, but afterwards I felt like a true princess!

I didn’t choose to get my brows done, but only because I have ZERO to work with here. Haha. I have such fair hair, and my brows are so naturally thin, I really have to work them in with makeup each day. So even though I have no doubt Superdrug do amazing brow tidy ups/threading; I thought I’m best to just stick to the nails for now! 🙂

The lovely Sophie who invited me along, kindly gave me a £30 gift card to send in the store and I couldn’t believe my luck! I dragged Gary around every single aisle wondering what to spend my pennies on. I ended up opting for a bunch of Zoella bits (I’m a fan of quite a few of her products and wanted to try some more!), and I also chose the Sleek i-Lust Hidden Gems Palette and Highlighter. These are from an exclusive collection at Superdrug and I’ll be doing a FULL review on them indivually very soon. Let’s just say I’m impressed.

As if that weren’t good enough (seriously I’d already been spoiled!); before I left, the lovely Sophie then gave me the hugest goodybag of products to bring home and try too! I have no words for how surprised I was, and I felt like I’d won the blogger lottery.

That probably sounds silly to some people, but I’m honestly just happy when brands are interested in me, my opinions and what I have to say here on this blog. So when brands take such a genuine interest and want to gift you a few products to try out, well it still shocks me! I am so very grateful.

There were so many products, I just know I couldn’t name and feature them all individually without us being here forever. But I’ll be sure to feature them individually over the next few weeks to share my thoughts. There were some of my favourite Superdrug’s own brand products, the B range, GOSH (you all know how much I LOVE GOSH!), MUA, Studio London and so much more! So many of them would make great Christmas gifts, but I can’t help but want to keep them all for myself!

A huge thank you to Superdrug Bromborough for inviting me by, and you can be certain I’ll be back to get my nails done again!

Also, remember guys; you get FREE DELIVERY at Superdrug with a beauty card (no minimum spend either!). I just thought I’d mention this because I realised on Twitter this week how many people STILL didn’t know this! 🙂

Enjoy!

It sounds like you had a ball which is lovely to hear, and I’m not surprised it looks like it was a fab event (and they were hella generous). It’s humbling to read that you’re super grateful, not that you wouldn’t be, I guess it’s heart-warming to know you are just as excited as I would be. If that makes any sense? Your opinions and voice always matters, you’re such a good egg!

Oh I actually did not know that about free delivery with a beauty card! I do love Superdrug – it’s easy to find cruelty free stuff in their shops! Sounds like you had an amazing time.

All of the excellent things to try. I’d been eyeing up some of those Sleek bits in Superdrug! I will one day have money again to buy these things. I totally didn’t know about the free delivery! Win!
