Food

Around Liverpool; Crust Italian Restaurant

27th January 2017

Gary and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Crust Liverpool*; a brand new restaurant which takes Italian classics and puts a fresh new spin on them. I was so eager to try this place as I’m a fan of Italian food anyway, and this place is located in the heart of Bold Street; Liverpool’s hub for creative, new and exciting business.

The atmosphere and decor reflects the perfect kind of setting for where the restaurant is located, and when we visited all kinds of people seemed to be enjoying themselves there. Students, people finishing work, families; it was a great setting for anyone a fan of pizza, pasta, beer. Awesome!

Crust Liverpool has a range of yummies on their menu; Antipasti, Pizza, Pizza Wraps & Salads, Pasta, Grill & Sides, Desserts, Beer, Wine and of course, Cocktails. Yay! They also do a breakfast menu too which looks amazing! I’ll definitely be going back to check that out.

There’s no fear of struggling to find something you’ll love at Crust, as they have loads of options for vegetarian and gluten free meals too!

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the most wonderful staff, and offered advice on their best dishes (and cocktails, obv!). Everyone was so helpful and friendly, and I was impressed by how much the staff looked after all the guests. Personal touches like this make all the difference.

Gary went for the Zingara pizza, and I went for the Penne all’Arabiata. One word; AMAZINNGGG. This is one of my favourite dishes to get at Italian restaurants anyway, but Crust made this in their own unique spicy tomato sauce and it was absolutely gorgeous! Definitely a hot one, so be prepared if you’re not usually keen on anything spicy. But I would definitely have this dish again, and I found myself drooling over my photos later on! Oh, and Gary loved his Pizza. Sorry, got carried away there remembering my pasta…

The cocktails were flowing and we somehow even managed a dessert; yay. I went for a warm chocolate cake with ice cream and Gary opted for homemade Gelato. Both SO YUMMY.

There are simply no words for the incredible service, experience and food that do Crust Liverpool justice. I thoroughly recommend you guys pop down and give it a try yourselves. It’s now top of my list for local faves! Thank you SO much to the guys at Crust for inviting us down.

Have you guys tried anywhere new recently?
