Diary Entry 3

4th March 2018

It’s been quite a week here, phew! As you can tell from my photo, we were hit hard in Plymouth with the snow. I was really lucky that my Mum still managed to travel here by train to visit me, because loads of services were cancelled! But she arrived as planned, and we’ve had such a lovely time catching up. Nothing big going on, just hanging out which is what I’ve missed most. Even if she has driven me slightly crazy as all Mums do (right???!). It’s not all bad though, she’s bought me some cute lil treats while she’s been here (including the cutest ever donut bed for the cats haha). I’ll be posting about some of my goodies soon, so keep an eye out! (Especially for my Primark Makeup Haul, I’m so pleased with it!).

The weather definitely has slowed me down work wise too, it’s delayed supplies being posted to me, meaning I’ve had delays getting orders out to people. If you’re one of these people, I’m SO SORRY <3 Please know that I’m dong everything I can, and I’m adding in extras with orders as an apology!

I haven’t had a chance to read much for the past week or so, so I’m still in the middle of TWO books. Yes, two! (Follow me on Goodreads) I am half way through ‘The Power’, it started out fantastic, but truth be told I’m getting bored. I don’t want to give up though as I’ve heard amazing things, so I’ve started reading one of my Lincoln Rhyme books for a break. I’m up to book 11 in the series and still in love with it, so that’s good! Anything crime related usually goes down very well though, let’s be honest.

The rest of my time has been spent preparing for Gary’s birthday (on the 6th!), writing blog posts (If you guys didn’t see my recent post; this blog is now 4 years old!), and cleaning. YES, cleaning. I know I sound so boring and I don’t know what the hell has happened to me, but I seem to be on a cleaning spree lately. I watched some Louise Pentland vlogs and she got me very inspired to do a whole Spring clean. So I’ve been organising cupboards, mopping, hoovering, dusting, throwing out old junk, and trying to get our lives in order a little. Obviously I do my normal regular cleaning all the time; but this week I’ve gone a bit manic, and it actually feels nice! I know.. who am I???

Now that it’s March I’ve given myself some new small goals I’d like to achieve this month. Paint more, keep flowers on display all the time, bake something new, reorganise my craft cupboards, use less heat on my hair, and get some cute outfit photos maybe?? Nothing big or scary for my monthly goals, but things I’d like to do all the same.

I can’t wait until it’s warm and sunny; so I can go hiking in the woods again each week, and even if I’m inside I can have the windows open while I paint and enjoy the extra light. I’m an Autumn/Winter person for sure, but even I need a change now!

(This is Mum!)

Other than spending time with Mum, cleaning like a mad woman, playing in the snow and binge watching The Office (again! But this time with Mum, who loves it!!); I haven’t really been up to much else. I’m hoping the next week or two will be filled with creativity as I have so many ideas, and Gary has 10 days off work so I’m hoping we get lots of chances to have dates and fun days out, etc!

As always, please do remember to give my Etsy shop a visit, it truly does make a huge difference!! And I’d love you to leave a comment sharing with me what YOU have been up to the past week or two 🙂

Have a great one guys!
