I’ve come to the realisation that I can’t stick to one colour at all. I change my hair like I change outfits, I get bored if my clothing doesn’t look like a rainbow when hanging up, and no matter how I’ve tried; our home is always going to be a mish mash of colours.
I’ve come to accept it, and love it!
I’m naturally drawn to decor that screams colour anyway. All my favourite Pinterest homes are those that embrace every colour all in one go (in fact, follow my home decor board here!). Give me pinks and yellows and white and blues and greens and oranges, and a dash of purple too!
Since realising this is what makes me happiest in our home, I’ve decided to start changing each room little by little, to make it more rainbow inspired. Even if it’s just a cushion or wall print here or there, I’ll get things one by one and eventually turn this place into my dream home.
To get me started, I was very kindly sent this beautiful mustard yellow footstool* from Bean Bag Bazaar – and I’m so thrilled to have a pop of yellow in our living room now!
It’s made with only polyester and cotton, but has that gorgeous faux suede feel to it; giving it extra special luxurious vibes. The colour was the ultimate selling point for me, but it’s also really lightweight and easy to move about in your home. It’s comfortable and really pretty, adding the perfect pop of colour to any room. The thought of River using this as a seat when he’s a toddler makes my heart melt too!
And the best part??? Bean BagBazaar are letting me run a giveaway, so that you can win one too! (OR a pouffe of your choice from their site!). All you have to do is enter below, and a winner will be chosen at random in 1 week! This is such a fantastic opportunity to add something beautiful to your home for free, and I’m so excited for you guys.
Let me know which you’ll be choosing as your prize if you win, in the comments! 🙂
