Life in lockdown is obviously incredibly hard; but I’m determined to try find the joy in each day! With Valentines just around the corner, I’ve been trying to think of some ways to make it a little bit special, even if in small ways.
Sure, we can’t go out to a restaurant or plan trips. But there are small ways you can show you care for your other half, so I thought I’d share my 3 favourite ideas today!
3 Lockdown Valentines Ideas For Couples
1. Transform your space! We’re all sick of looking at the same four walls, so why not change things up for Valentines? Order a bunch of balloons, get banners, fairy lights, make a super cosy ‘den’ in the bedroom, and make the place feel like NEW for the first time in a year!
I love the whimsy of this simple idea. And I think if you got a load of snacks, maybe some champagne, put them all on a cute tray, and had a movie night – things would feel extra special!
2. This is the time for handmade gifts! We’ve all been ordering online like mad for months now. So doing that again for Valentines won’t feel special anymore. I say be brave and do something handmade this year! Put together a scrapbook of memories, draw or paint something, make a big collage of favourite photos and frame it – anything! The fact that you’ve put in real effort to bring a smile will go such a long way. This year more than ever!
3. Make a scavenger hunt! This is such a fun idea, and one I would personally LOVE. Hide your gift for your partner somewhere, and put together clues and a guide to finding it! You can make this as hard or as easy as you like, and they’ll feel like a little kid again.
These are just some super simple ideas, because I think we all need easy solutions at the moment. But I think if you gave them a go, they’d go down a treat! And bonus points if you do all 3!
