I’m so relieved to see some sunshine entering our days, finally! I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling like Winter lasted forever, and it’s so nice to be going into the next season. A new season always feels like a fresh start to me, and always gives me loads of motivation both personally, and professionally.

So with that in mind and some sunshine shining through my window; I thought today I’d share the things I’m going to be focused on over the next few weeks-

 

Exploring Creativity

I’ve made a point to spend more time painting over the past few weeks, and it’s brought me so much joy, as well as really helping with my anxiety. I’d like to continue making painting a priority, as well as exploring my creative juices in other ways. I’d like to experiment with different printing methods, and see what new styles call to me as I work. I am often creating things for my small business, but I need to create more with the intention of just having fun too!

 

Getting Organised

I want to spend this time while I have plenty of motivation; making sure my life is organised. Organising upcoming dentist appointments, filing my taxes as soon as I can in April, making a monthly budget spreadsheet to keep on top of finances. These all sound incredibly boring I know, but it will mean I can relax more and take some pressure off my never ending to do list.

 

Finding Myself Again

It’s not unusual for new mums to lose their sense of style, a little bit of their personality, and basically just becoming a bit of a robot while trying to keep a small human alive. And that’s been my life for the past 4 years; just getting by. Now that my little boy is older and almost ready for school, it’s a chance to discover myself again! I’d like to cultivate a wardrobe that works for this chapter of my life. Busy, working freelancer who is also a mum, that wants to show off her creative and colourful side; while also being practical. So I’ll be having a huge wardrobe clear out soon, and deciding what looks really feel like ‘me’ these days. I’ll also be making more time for my own passions; like going to music/comedy gigs, and hanging out with friends. I’m excited about this new chapter, and can’t wait to get stuck in!

 

So here’s to Spring. To fresh starts. And to plenty of sunshine (hopefully!)
