Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation

A Huge Debenhams Beauty Haul

2nd November 2016

If there’s one thing I love about Debenhams (okay there’s a lot I love) – it’s the amazing selection of beauty brands they offer both online and in store. Whether I’m buying gifts for others, or treating myself to something; Debenhams are my one stop shop for everything I want and need.

Last week I had the greatest pleasure of being involved with Debenhams in a variety of ways; and I’ve got a huge bag of goodies in the process!

Firstly, the gorgeous Kayleigh was kindly offered a gift voucher for herself and a friend to spend on whatever they liked; and she very generously chose me! I was over the moon as I never get the chance to treat myself very often, and Debenhams is always my fave for beauty. I knew I couldn’t resist browsing their range of endless goodies.

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation Debenhams beauty and fragrance

I decided to try Burt’s Bees Lip Gloss* in ‘Summer Twilight’, Thierry Mugler ‘Alien’ Perfume* and Urban Decay All Nighter Longwear Foundation*.

I’ll start with an old favourite; Thierry Mugler’s Alien – BEAUTIFUL. this fragrance has been one of my all time favourites for as long as I can remember. I’m terrible at describing scents, but it’s one of those that make me keep sniffing myself (yes I know that sounds odd!) because I can’t get enough of it. It’s officially described as a ‘rich, floral, woody amber fragrance’ if that helps, and as soon as I read that I thought, ‘YES! Amber, and Jasmine!’. It really is the most beautiful combination; sweet, without being sickly, and strong without being overpowering. It lasts on the skin beautifully, and thoroughly recommend treating yourself to a bottle of you never have before.

Then the most exciting for me; Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. I’ve wanted to try this since the moment I heard about it – and I’m so so so excited to tell you guys it’s seriously BEATEN Estee Lauder’s Doublewear for me! Do you realise what a big that is for me?! Doublewear has been my holy grail for a long time now, but it’s definitely been shifted off the top spot on my scoreboard. Urban Decay’s All Nighter Foundation is that perfect combination of a soft, light and smooth application that has a flawless finish, and really DOES last. This baby is here to stay once it’s on, and I couldn’t have been more impressed! I’ve gotten so many compliments on my skin since I’ve started using this, and I genuinely feel the quality is immense. This is the ONLY foundation for me now. Seriously.

And finally, Burt’s Bees Lip Gloss in ‘Summer Twilight’. This is a beautiful pinkish red shade that applies a little more opaque than the look of it would suggest. This is really soft, nourishing and super pretty. It doesn’t feel tacky and sticky like a lot of lip glosses, and provides a good amount of colour and shine. I wasn’t blown away by this in the sense it won’t be changing my life; but I certainly like it a lot and would buy again! 🙂

After my wonderful goody bag of gifts, I was even more blown away when I receieved an invitation from Debenhams themselves to attend a Halloween themed beauty event they were holding last Thursday. I jumped at the chance, of course, and went along with a few fellow Scouse bloggers. The #DebsGlamoween event was a huge hit; offering champagne, cupcakes, and two wonderful demonstations on how you can use a range of awesome products from Urban Decay and Makeup Forever to create entriely different Halloween looks.

The team’s from both brands were SO, so welcoming, helpful and lovely; offering advice throughout the evening and totally teasing me with all their makeup skills! The amazing selection of products they used and showed us had me wanting to buy absolutely everything, and I went home with an arm full of pretty swatches. The pigment glitters and brightest, most dazzling highlighters all renewed my love again and again for makeup and how it can transform you.

As well as picking up some bloody handy tips for creating new and exciting looks, we were each all very kindly given a goody bag of things to take home too!

Urban Decay Junkie Lipstick Kat Von D Tattoo Liner Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks Makeup Forever

I got a whole bag of amazing goodies from Makeup Forever and Urban Decay, and was also sent out the amazing Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in the post afterward! It’s so, so hard to choose a favourite product; as I love them all!

The Urban Decay Vice lipsticks* are just as beautiful as I hoped they would be. I received two shades of black ‘Perversion’ and one green shade ‘Junkie’ and I’m SO thrilled because I love unusual shades that really stand out. Especially having greenish blue hair, these lipsticks both have a high impact and are softer on my lips than any other lipstick I’ve tried before. I’m in love! I seriously can’t rave about them enough.

The Makeup Forever HD Powder* adds a heavenly luminous glow over my makeup, and really makes the difference in giving a professional finish.

And finally, I’m SO excited I have finally got to try the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner*, which is every bit as wonderful as everyone said it would be! The nib applies my wings easily, smoothly and with the deepest pigmentation of black I could hope for. My eyeliner game has definitely gone right up, and this is a product I’ll buy again and again.

A huge thank you to Debenhams and to Kayleigh for their amazing generosity, and the astounding collection of beauty products I now have added to my collection. The quality of Debenhams never fails to impress me, with each brand offering something for everyone. So it’s fair to say I’ll be getting a lot of my Christmas presents at Debenhams for people this year – and hoping they do the same for me! 🙂

I have got to try that foundation after reading your review! Been looking for a new favourite since I had to stop using Revlon’s Colorstay as it’s not crueltyfree.

    Great post!
