Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve all been having a wonderful week, and are feeling super refreshed and motivated for the week ahead. I thought today I’d catch up with you guys and share what I’ve been up to for the past week or two! 🙂
Last week was the #CarnLIVal event, hosted by Sam and Katy and it was absolutely wonderful to catch up with some local bloggers and meet new ones. I felt super cute (for once) and festive in my new blue velvet dress, and we had such a great day! I had to leave quite promptly as this chest infection is still yanking all the energy out of me, but it was a great day nonetheless. I pretty much just spent the rest of the weekend watching comedy stand ups on Netflix, like Russell Peters and trying to laugh away this persistent cough (bad idea).
Then on Monday, I had the great phone call I have EVER had. Like seriously. You may have seen me screaming about this on Twitter because I was bouncing off the walls with excitement. I have been approached by someone to do something HUGE. Like.. my dream, my top bucket list project. I hate being so secretive but I really have to for now! It’s going to be a long time before it all comes out too, but oh my god I’m excited! Just know that I’ve started working on something big, and I’m counting down until the day I can tell you all.
That was the start of a consistently great week to be honest, and it’s just been one good thing after another. Gary’s mum and her partner visited us from Plymouth, and we had a great time. We went out for drinks and a lovely meal, and I even got to wear one of my beautiful new necklaces from Eclectic Eccentricity*.
They’re absolutely beautiful aren’t they?! Eclectic Eccentricity (try saying that 5 times fast) have a huge range of wonderfully quirky jewellery, and really celebrate the unique. I especially love their rain cloud range!
Onto another exciting event; on Wednesday I got to make a little trip to Superdrug Bromborough to check out all their new products, and even experience their nail bar! I’ve never visited a Superdrug with a nail bar before, and they also had a brow bar too! I got completely pampered and spoiled while I was there, and couldn’t be more grateful. I’ll be sharing all the details here on the blog tomorrow though; so be sure to check that out!
I celebrated hitting 600 sales on Etsy this week – WOOHOO! I was so so overjoyed I screamed! (Sorry neighbours). I know this might not seem like a lot to bigger businesses or more experienced sellers; but to me this was truly amazing and I’m so grateful. I honestly got emotional just thinking how many lovely people support me, and I know I’d be bloody nowhere without them. That includes all of you reading this! 🙂
I treated myself by ordering a new comic I’ve never tried before (I’m definitely going to grow my collection in 2017). I opted for ‘Paper Girls’ by Brian K. Vaughan; which seems like a nostalgic 80’s vibe story of a group of awesome pre-teen girls, who all have a paper round, and experience something mysterious together. It arrived yesterday so I’m only just starting it, but it’s so freakin’ beautiful! The artwork is amazing and I feel so inspired by the aesthetic. Plus it has MAJOR Girl Gang feelz. You can buy it here if you fancy it – not an ad or anything, I just genuinely think a lot of you would love it!
And finally, I’m all done for Christmas, yay! Well, to be honest I’ve been done for about 2 weeks, hehe. I was very organised this year. But I’ve even finished wrapping all my gifts now and writing out cards. I only wish I could send Christmas cards to my blogger friends; but postage costs so much! 🙁 *sends an e-card to you all*.
I am so excited for Christmas to come now, and to spend time chilling out with Gary and family. My mum has promised she will get me a ukulele too, so I’m counting down the days! I figure 2017 is going to be the year I try learn new things and challenge myself. The ukulele is just the first step.
I hope next week is just as great as this week was, and I hope all of you are doing well!
